Diabetic Socks

Diabetic socks are socks aimed at people with diabetes. Quite often, diabetic socks are designed to protect feet of diabetic patients with injuries/blisters caused by friction of foot wears. Special padding is provided from heel to toe for prevention of injuries. Loose knitting is provided at the leg opening for non-compression/binding of legs to provide smooth blood flow towards feet.
In addition, diabetic socks are also designed to control moisture in order to reduce risk of fungal infection or with cushioning to prevent foot ulcers. Good skin care and foot care is essential. Foot ulcers affect as many as 10% of people with diabetes.

Specially recommended for diabetic patients  with other medical reasons like edema, swollen feet & legs, neuropathy and poor blood circulation. Diabetic socks provide great comfort and absorbability thus overcome the problem of poor blood circulation in diabetic patients due to tight socks around their legs.
Diabetic socks are made of cotton in order to control moisture thus reducing the risk of infection due to raised blood glucose level and increased risk of foot ulcers in diabetic patients.
